Do you think like a middle schooler?

Xtreme is the weekly teaching environment for 6th through 8th grade students that meets during the 9:00 & 11:00 AM worship services at Browns Bridge. Each week students experience a mixture of worship, games, a challenging talk, and most importantly interaction with a small group.

Each hour is broken down into four parts:

Hang Time - Before each hour begins, students and leaders come into the Loft and hangout while listening to music, playing pool, hanging out on the sofas, and playing PlayStation, or just grabbing a donut and sitting around a table catching up on what's been going on.

Connect Time - The first 15-20 minutes of Xtreme is a combination of worship, video, or a sketch that focuses students' attention on what is being directed from the stage.

Teaching Time - Teaching Time is not your typical sermon! During this time, a speaker will give an "intro" to what the students will be discussing in small groups.

Discussion Time - This is the "meat" of what we desire to accomplish with Xtreme. Middle School students meet in small groups divided by grade and gender to discuss current issues or hot topics in their lives. These are led by small group leaders who are not just "Sunday School Teachers." These adults invest in these students' lives and encourage discussion rather than instruction.

The Middle School Ministry at Browns Bridge is an exciting and challenging place for students to come and learn about their relationship with God and each other. We have developed a strategy that will assist us in our goal to lead Middle School students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

To create environments where middle school students can...
* Prioritize their relationship with Christ
* Influence their friends
* Experience personal ministry
